It is strongly encouraged that you take a look at what type of journal you are submitting to. Purchasing a sample copy as well is a good way to get a feel for the journal. As a word of warning most of the editors that accept email submissions tend to frown upon attachments. Putting the poetry in the body of the message is often the best way to go.
