Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the
Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change;
The
Courage
to change the things I can;
and the
Wisdom
to know the difference.
Amen.
Beholding Him
Jesus do I trust you,
Lord do I really care
All my words are empty
And all my thoughts impaired
Knowing what you want for me
I turn and walk away
Jesus search this heart of mine
And show me the way
Oh lord to be worthy
How I want to love
You gave me everything I need
To keep my spirit up
But I forgot to keep your cross
Now more than once or twice
Father my prayer is not I or me but Christ
I can hear the thunder
I can see the pain
And I tremble with such fear
My heart cries with shame
The son of God is dying
Oh how can this be?
Beholding him on Calvary
Who bowed his head
Just for me
Lord I know your love is real
I can feel you close at hand
Yes Lord I count the cost each time I hear
The words behold the man, behold the man
I can hear the thunder
I can see the pain
And I tremble with such fear
My heart cries with shame
The son of God is dying
Oh how can this be?
Beholding him on Calvary
Who bowed his head
Just for me
Beholding Him on Calvary
Who bowed his head
Just for me
