WHAT I WEAR HIDES ME

Scratchy winter woolens,
Silky Spring satins,
Light summer laces,
Is my naked season
only before the fall?

Cruel nature
sheds her covers.

I cover my nakedness
in my sleep, attempting
luxury with fine beddings
and gowns. But you
creep into my bed
and without light
read my body
with your flesh
finding my soul
only in my passion.
