Destiny

When we met
you proved to be
the most romantic man
I ever knew.

You sent me love cards
and said lovely words
that turned my head
towards you,
away from all others
and you were my only man.

Then, I discovered some other
important things about you that
you surely did reveal,
your high intelligence,
and a lot of talent too.
I was impressed
you took the time
to study hard in school.
You play music
and are an artist,
so I admired you.

I never thought
that any talent
of mine was ever above yours.
For you do many things
that I can never do.
My words of love were many,
and yours were very few.
But, when you took the time
to write them as poetry,
they were precious
pearls of love to me,
and makes me cling to you.

In many ways you surpass me,
This I never doubt.
I forget how
many men there are
in this world because
I'm fixed on you.

As time went on we
showed our faults,
and we both have the same.
But thank God only one of us
is stubborn as a mule.
We love and fight,
and even call bad names.
But. true love does forgive
and even with our faults.
But, in our hearts we
both have the need,
to fulfill all our dreams.

So, honey if you leave me
I will suffer over you.
But, one thing
is so important,
to know a special thing,
for all to realize.
The secret in the wind.

That we each have a destiny.
and God will intervene.
His Mercy and His Love
can always see our needs.
If we have made a mistake,
and tried to pick someone
of our own making,
that is not within His plan,
we can hang it up for good.
For His will, will be fulfilled.

I still don't know if you
are the man
He has for me.
Let's listen to the
"Whispers In The Wind."
His Voice does whisper
as the rustling
through the trees.

He'll speak, oh, so softly;
if only we could hear.
What a miracle it is,
that He even
answers prayers.
The truth is there already.
It is within our souls.

So, darling, if you want me
I am only yours.
But, darling,
if you leave me
I will be ok.
Because there's something
I know for sure;
that I can't fight Him,
or His plan for me,
or my Destiny.
