Love, Understanding, Friendship,
And above all acceptance
Are what you've given me
The kind of mother that you were
Is what I strive to be.
You understood me,
Guided me through all the years
Those times no words were spoken
You held my hand and gave your heart
Each time that mine was broken!
You often held me tightly
But still gave me room to grow
You hold me still within your heart
Never to let go!
Whenever I felt weak
It was your strength that I relied on
When emotions overcame me
It was your shoulder that I cried on!
My daughter is my greatest gift
And although you're no longer around
To share my happiness with you
I felt it in my heart
That you are here to share the joy with me.
I watched you with Stacey
It is then I realized
We were wealthy beyond words
For we're rich in love and family ties
You are a blessing in my life
You thought me to love God
And to respect and value others
I thank God above that I have you
In my heart when to Him each night I pray!
You come to me every time
I call upon your name
To give wipe away my tears
In my sadness and depair
And to celebrate victories with me!
Mommy Minda,
Your spirit lives
I treasure all the memories
We had together
I thank you for all your love!
I would pray our paths would cross
For a lifetime without you in it
It would be my greatest loss
I will see you someday.
