1. Mei Ling was never in the manga to begin with.

2. Their personalities clash! Now, I believe in the "Opposites attract" deal. But I am going to tell it like it is; Shalron and Mei are too different for each other. She's this snotty, "I want attention", type person and he's the more quiet, shy type. It wouldn't work!

3. Shalron doesn't feel the same for her. How are you going to stick two people in a love relationship when they don't have the same feelings for each other? Shalron sees Mei Ling as a cousin/friend and nothing more. He loves Sakura!

4. I can't see Mei Ling with anybody! Not with Sakura; Not Shalron; and not even Tomoyo!!!

5. Mei Ling doesn't even stay in the series. She leaves in the third season!

6. They're cousins; I'll feel sorry for their kids!!! (You'll have to be in Biology to understand)
