    Years ago, when Amelda was about 12, he had a little brother named Miiruko. During that time, there was a battle in their home town. Amelda and Miiruko were in the middle of the crossfire and they ran for their lives. They arrived at tank that was being driven by an ally. Amelda told his young brother to get into the tank. Suddenly, a missile hit the tank, and Miiruko was killed! Amelda was terrified and completely devastated. Once the battle was over, he saw the enemy's planner, Gozaburo Kaiba. Dartz came him to Amelda that same day and told him that Gozaburo planned the battle, and he was responsible. Amelda was furious, and he wanted to do anything to ruin the Kaiba family. Dartz offered his support, and Amelda accepted it. Turns out, Gozaburo was actually Dartz, with Dartz in disguise.
    Years later, Seto Kaiba gets a call from Pegasus and Pegasus challenges Kaiba to a duel. It isn't until later that Pegasus turns out to be Amelda! Mai Kujaku dueled Pegasus, and he lost the duel, and his soul. Kaiba got out of that DEADLY duel, but as for the next one, he probably wouldn't be so lucky.
    Anyway, once Yami Yuugi warns Kaiba of this diabolicalness that he's sensed, Amelda shows up on a Kaiba Corporation Airplane, as the pilot. Before he appeared in front of Kaiba, he set the airplane on Autopilot. He then duels Kaiba, using the DEADLY Star Card. Mokuba goes up to the Control Room to avoid the plane hitting a mountain. Mokuba also calls Isono, telling him that they need help. Once Isono is there, and Kaiba and Amelda see them, Amelda is furious!! It reminded him of when his innocent brother was murdered during the war. Amelda then released his hatred, shattering the windows on the plane, and became more insolent to Kaiba. In the end though, Amelda lost the duel, and his soul. Mokuba felt very sorry for him. When Amelda looked at Mokuba before his soul was taken, Mokuba reminded him of his little brother Miiruko.
    Overall, Amelda is quite persistent to have his ideas being correct. In the end, Amelda supposedly lives in Pisa, Italy. The last time we see him is right before Yami Yuugi left to go back to the past.

    Honda doesn't duel like his friends. Though Joey is the joker of the group... Honda is both funny and smart. The gang would not be the same without him.

    Malik was brought up learning the teachings of the ancient writings and of the Pharaoh, but he was reluctant to give up his freedom. Then, when Malik's father ritualistically carved the Pharaoh's story into Malik's back, Malik's anger peaked, and did not fade, as if Malik was now "infused with an evil entity."
    One day, Malik convinced Isis to sneak out of the tomb and into Cairo with him. Odion said he would cover for them. When they returned, they saw Mr. Ishtar about to kill Odion. The darkness in Malik grew again, and 'evil' within Malik surfaced. He took the Millennium Rod and used it to kill Mr. Ishtar. He was about to kill Odion, but the real Malik regained control, with no memory of what had occurred. Shadi appeared and said it was the will of the Pharaoh. Angered by this, Malik believed that the Pharaoh killed his father and swore revenge.
    Malik then uses the Millennium Rod to recruit the Rare Hunters to steal the Egyptian God cards from Isis. But he was able to obtain the Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer the Sky Dragon. Malik sent his Rare Hunters after the Pharaoh, who is Yami, the enigmatic spirit in Yugi's Millennium Puzzle.

This would turn out, however, to be the beginning of a rivalry...because both he and Honda are developing a crush on Shizuka!

    Years ago, when Raphael was a kid, he was taking a cruise with his youngest brother and his youngest sister, since it was Raphael's birthday. Suddenly, a storm wrecked the ship and Raphael's siblings were killed. Raphael found himself on a deserted island, and Dartz came to him, and told him it was his destiny to join the DOOM group. After the wreck, Rapheal was left all alone on an island. However, he had three duel monster cards, one of which was most loyal to him. That was Guardian Airtos. Guardian Airtos has protected him ever since. From then, he treasured those cards.
    He first dueled Yami no Yuugi, and Raphael gave him the "DEADLY" star card when they had to exchange some cards. Shockingly, Yami Yuugi then uses the star card in order to eliminate Raphael. Yuugi warns him that they could loose their soul, but Yami doesn't listen, and plays the star card. Yami's mind then becomes dark. In end, Raphael defeats Yami. Yami is about to loose his soul, but Yuugi makes himself the sacrifice. Yuugi then tells Yami that he still believes in him. After the "kidnapping," Yami fell to the ground unconscious. Then Rapheal brought Yami to his friends, where Yami awoke and realized what he done was wrong.
    After Jounouchi lost his soul, Mai went to see Dartz, but instead, she found Rapheal. She told him that she's had enough of Orichalcos, and she wanted to rebel, and duel Dartz herself. Well, Rapheal got so disgusted with her that he dueled her, and he sealed her soul!
    Then, Raphael and Yami duel again. This time, Raphael uses the star card. Yami tried to stop him, but Rapheal said that it was his destiny to seal souls. During the duel, Yami used a magic card, Wheel of Hell. Both he and Raphael ended up in a cemetery, with the memory of young Raphael running through the dark fog. They both follow, and find Dartz, and young Raphael. Dartz was telling him that he couldn't run anywhere. If he chose running, Dartz said, he'd be right back in front of him, confused of his Fate, since his family was killed. Dartz told him to see his fate; he had to "use his hands." Rapheal then dug a hole to see his "fate." Shockingly, he found two skulls, one was his brothers', and the other was his sisters'. At that moment, Guardian Airtos appeared in front of him and took the skulls. Dartz then gave Rapheal a DARK DUEL DISK, and then commanded him to use Orichalcos o no Kekai.
    Once darkness overtook Rapheal, Guardian Airtos screamed and she was killed, and reborn as The Deathscythe. That monster was created from the darkness in his heart. The memory faded, and Rapheal told Yami that he will not turn back, from that day. In the end, Raphael used Soul Replenishment, which he gave up all his life points, to have all his monsters in the cemetery, to come back to him. Yami then began to understand that he was trying to get out of the darkness, by using "Light." Suddenly, Guardian Airtos appeared in the sky, and floated down in front of him, with all his other "monsters" looking at him, bringing back memories from his childhood; his sister, brother, and his parents. Guardian Airtos then took all his monsters, and family, up to heaven. Instantly, the jade necklace shattered!
    The seal vanished, but Rapheal was still alive. His soul WASN'T taken. Instead, he lost his dark/evil mind. The building they were on began to collapse. Isono came luckily, and everybody got aboard the helicopter. Yami tried to help Rapheal get up to the chopper, but the surface beneath them both, collapsed! Rapheal flung Yami onto a higher level of the broken building. Rapheal then threw a small data chip for a palm pilot, which was a map to where Dartz was. Then Rapheal fell into the rubble!
    However, he survived, and he had Varon and Mai with him. He then tried to stop Dartz when Dartz was dueling Yami Yuugi and Kaiba, to prevent going further into the darkness. That's when Dartz revealed he was behind the murder of Miiruko. He was the one who burned the church, and he was the one who created the typhoon, which killed Rapheal's siblings, and parents. Instantly, the Geometric star appeared on Rapheal's head, and he called forth Guardian Airtos to attack Dartz. However, the star then immediately sealed his soul!
    Overall, Rapheal seems quite strong, and is very keen on what he has to do. In the end, he supposedly lives in Paris, France. The last time we see him is when he is thinking of Yami Yuugi, who is about to go back to the afterlife.
Rebecca Hopkins

    Rebecca is the granddaughter of Arthur Hopkins, a professor who was friends with Yugi's grandfather, Sugoroku, years ago while exploring the ancient Egyptian ruins. Arthur had given Sugoroku his Blue-Eyes White Dragon card as a symbol of their friendship, but Rebecca is under the assumption that the card was stolen from her grandfather.
    After Duelist Kingdom, she meets up Yugi, Sugoroku, and the others demanding the return of the card. However, upon learning of the card's damage done by Seto Kaiba, she angrily challenges Sugoroku to a duel. Yugi steps in to duel her instead.
    Rebecca is an American dueling prodigy who gives Yugi problems during their duel. But when he is about to win, he forfeits the duel. Eventually, Rebecca learns from her grandfather about the circumstances of the card, and she becomes friends with Yugi as he gives her a "Ties of Friendship" card as a symbol of friendship.

    When Varon was about 15 years old, he seemed to be orphan, and he practically was taken care by a young nun at a church. Quite often, Varon got into many fights. One of them changed his life. One day, his "mother" the nun, was telling him that it wasn't right to fight. Then came a group who barged into the church, and wanted to fight him. The nun begged them to please let Varon be. They just threw her to the floor. Varon was about to fight them, but the nun stopped him.
    Then, one night, the church was surrounded by fire. Varon wasn't at the church, but he saw the scene and ran towards the church. A huge crowd was in tears, and so was he. But... he heard the snickering of the group that he had last seen when they barged into the church. They were smiling evilly. It seemed though as if they set the church on fire, with his "Mother" inside, where she was killed. Varon's hatred burst!!!
    Then, what seemed to be the same night when the church was set ablaze, he found the group and started a fight. He was in such a fiery rage that he killed all the men. He ended up in prison, and started many fights, with prisoners and the guards. One day, the head of the prison decided to let him go, if he could beat prisoners in a game of Duel Monsters, using the power of Orichalcos. Varon and each prisoner, one-by-one ended up on an island. Varon won each duel, and he sealed each prisoner's souls! He then met Dartz. Dartz was quite pleased with his talent. Dartz invited him to join his DOOM group.
    He eventually finds Mai Kujaku, they duel, and she looses to his superior deck of armor. He notices that Mai is in a funk because she still can't get over the fact that she wasn't popular since she lost to Yami Malik in the Final Stage of Battle City. He took her to Dartz, where she got the geometric star card, the jade necklace, and a dark duel disk.
    When Mai became DARK, Varon had a tendency to tease her, for some odd reason, giving her orders. Well, Mai dueled Pegasus, and he lost the duel, and his soul.
    In the end, Varon dueled Jounouchi. Mai was there. She was outraged that he was dueling Jounouchi because Varon had stopped the previous the duel with Mai and Jounouchi. In the last duel, Mai seemed to have a seizure since Jounouchi had tricked her the last turn. Anyway, Jounouchi wins, and Varon looses his soul. Dartz was shocked, and disappointed. Overall, Varon likes to tease people sometimes, and he is very strong. In the end, Varon supposedly lives in Barcelona, Spain.

    The much more sinister soul hidden within the Millennium Ring, Yami Bakura is the soul of a grave robber who had been on a quest to seek out the seven Millennium Items in order to throw open the dark gates that they sealed. But something went wrong. His soul became trapped within the Millennium Ring.
    As time went by, the Ring changed hands, until it eventually came into the possession of a boy named Ryou Bakura. It was around this time that the other Millennium items began to awaken to their power. The Ring could sense those items, and so he began to "nudge" his host towards the items over so he could switch, but when necessary, he can awaken from the Millennium Ring and take over his host's body, and this was how he and Yami Yugi first met. He had sealed Yugi Moto's soul in his own Dark Magician card, but this automatically caused Yami Yugi's soul to emerge from the Puzzle and set the stage for a dangerous Shadow Game. It didn't turn out so well for him, and he had to spend precious time getting out of the Shadow Realm before returning to the Ring...just in time to come up with a new plan. Seeing the vulnerable Mokuba Kaiba ripe for the taking, he tried to get Ryou. But Honda unexpectedly set him back when he snatched the Ring and threw it away. By the time the Ring was magically returned to its keeper, his opportunity had passed...but a new one had emerged. He sought out the just-defeated Pegasus and challenged him to a test of wills. He knew he could best the powerless Pegasus easily, and with that, he claimed the Millennium Eye.

    Pharaoh Atem was the young Pharaoh who saved the world 5,000 years ago from utter destruction. Not very much is known about him, but he surrendered his life to save Egypt. Then his soul was placed in his Millennium Puzzle. After centuries, it was uncovered by Solomon Moto, who gave it to his grandson Yugi who reassembled the puzzle.
    When Yugi solved the Millennium Puzzle, he released Atem, who possessed his body. At first Yugi was unaware of Atem's presence, but eventually he learns about the spirit. Atem calls himself 'Yami', as he has no memory of his previous life. Yami made it his mission to protect Yugi, refusing to let anyone harm him. To punish evildoers, Yami uses his power called Mind Crush. Usually it sends a person's evil to the Shadow Realm, but it can also do horrible things to them if Yami is really mad.

    Yugi drew the line during the duel with Seto Kaiba  at Duelist Kingdom when Yami was going to kill Kaiba just to win. During Yugi's duel with Mai, Yami persuaded Yugi to give him a second chance, and since then Yami became less severe and more merciful.
