am i not  man’s bestial
and lowly past incarnate
destined to be preserved
in the wild vegetal habitat
of the high tropical mountains
almost kissing the skies?

now let me ask as i am tasked
how many more trees be axed
by man's greedy-needy ego
turning this planet Earth into
one big infernal charred coal
today and tomorrow until?

that will be when my good-byes
will be entombed upon the skies
and my bones as fossilized remains
deep into mother earth's fiery womb
as the fatal axe of the homo sapiens
finally unlinks the missing link!
