POLICEMAN REINSTATED FOLLOWING RACIST COMMENT: |
|||||
A policeman sacked for using racist
language, is at the centre of a new row after being given his job back.
PC Steve Hutt was meeting colleagues today, black and white, who signed
a petition calling for him to be reinstated. That petition persuaded the
Home Secretary to allow him to get his job back. But today the Black
Police Association said the decision had 'unleashed a licence to be
racist.' a)NN: SHIULIE GHOSH ITN/LIB(ITN) CF = B0587171 OR B0587173 23.23.28 TO 23.24.59 MIX/FX b)C4N: SIMON ISRAEL ITN/LIB(ITN) PAB = B0460345 c)C4N: KRISHNAN GURU-MURTHY - PC Steve Hutt LIVE STUDIO d)C4N: KRISHNAN GURU-MURTHY - Sir Herman Ouseley/Peter Herbert DISCO CF = B0461948 OR B0460327 e)EN: BONG PC Steve Hutt along through market ITN PAB = B0587141 f)EN: SHIULIE GHOSH ITN/UNSOURCED LIB(ITN) CF = B0587174 OR B0587139 OR B0587138 19.04.04 TO 19.05.59 MIX/FX g)LTN: SHIULIE GHOSH ITN/LNN LIB PAB = B0587137 h)C5F: CATHERINE JONES ITN PAB = B0587198 i)C5L: U'LAY ITN PAB = B0587197 ***LNN LIB = NO RESALE.*** a)NN: SHIULIE GHOSH ITN ENGLAND: London: EXT MS & CMS PC Steve Hutt (policeman sacked for making racist

black and asian officers who signed the petition to get me reinstated
and phoned me offering support - I do understand how people feel but I
