Sept.11.2001 Under The Rubble

Leaving for work this morning,
the sky was a beautiful blue.
I kissed my wife and child goodby,
the way I always do.
While sitting in my office,
I watched a plane coming down.
then was when it happened,
the building started down.

Lord: laying here this morning,
no pillow for my head
So many others laying here,
most of them are dead
Guess my time will be here soon,
not feeling at my best.
It's so hard to breath Lord,
this hot steel across my chest.

A lady laying near by me,
her head on my arm
She is getting weaker as her
blood flows down my arm.
I told her what my name was,
she said faintly mine is Lou.
With steel across my chest,
not much that I can do.

Faintly through the rubble,
we heard a rescue worker cry.
How will we ever get to them
It's piled five stories high.
I feel the steel cooling now,
the pain is getting great.
As for my new friend Lou,
the rescue is to late.

We are up in heaven now,
and we bear no pain.
Please remember us on Earth,
till we meet again.
Lord a request from Me,
my friends and Lou.
We ask that you forgive them,
for they no not what they do.

God Bless Us All
