My Glowing Candle

I have a burning candle
I keep burning every day
To remind me of a loving God
Who still loves me when I stray.

It reminds to be kind to all
And do the best I can
To help someone along my path
That would really need a friend.

It reminds me to be thankful
For the friends that I have found.
They have filled my life with laughter
Where once there was a frown.

I keep my candle burning low
Long throughout the night
To remind me I don't walk alone
For Jesus is my light.
