The Omicron Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina) in the fall of 2003. Though Omicron Sigma received its official charter on January 25, 2004, the eight charter members were initiated into the Noble Klan during the previous semester. Omicron Sigma was chartered under the Delta Chi Chapter at Winston-Salem State University, as the twenty-fourth chapter in the MIGHTY Middle Eastern Province. The charter members are: LINCOLN WESLEY DEAN HARRIS, JR.; CHRISTOPHER DEWAIN BARCLAY; CLIFTON LEE GRANBY; JULIUS OMARI CAVE; GADSON WILLIAM PERRY; JASON ANDRÈ MEYER; JARRETT ABRAHAM HEARD; and BRANDON LAMAR GEDDIS.

        More than a decade in the making, Omicron Sigma would like to give a special tribute to five Wake Forest students who crossed under the Delta Chi Chapter. They are known as the "Freakin' Deacons": TORI FEIMSTER (Spring 1991); KEITH SHACKELFORD (Spring 1992); HASLAN HOWARD (Fall 1996); SHAFI MUSTAFA (Spring 1998); and JOE LADAPO (Spring 1998).
