Sailing in on broken wings Battered by the storm Seeking refuge in the arms of God A shelter safe and warm Haven of rest sweet relief I find In his tender care A place I go when I cant go on To await the passing storm It is here I find in the darkest times The comfort that I seek A rest assured While the storm endures Sheltered in God's peace Wind rages I can hear it blow But here I'm safe from harm Safe in the shelter of his love Awaiting the passing storm Then Peace Be still A word from him Is sweetly whispered to my soul And by his word and through his love My fears are all consoled Waves have battered, raged, and tossed Leaving their mark upon the shore But in a haven of rest, in a shelter of peace It's fury I've endured
The sea calms still The clouds recede, Welcome is the release Safe from the storm on mended wings My spirit now soars free Somewhere beyond the darkest clouds The sun he safely keeps Clouds part away by his wondrous love And through them sunlight streams!
