When
the clouds drift down upon the valley
And shadow the mountains with a mist from on high
Heaven and earth at last embrace one another
Having long suffered the wait to unite
In a veil of soft spoken splendor
They abide in perfect harmony
And sojourn for a time of tranquility
For a season together they dwell
Though for a while they were parted
They call upon each other time and again
One, a gentle fortress of assurance
The other, desolate, and in need of a godsend
Sharing in a moment of tenderness
Gentle blessing is sent down from above
To one who waits for a touch of glory
Gods love descends down to man
For when we long for the beauty of holiness
And the time and the place are just right
Like the mist that drifts down upon the mountains
With a breath of heaven we are graced
And overshadowed with the glory
Of God’s precious breath of life
