~If
only just for awhile
Escape to a world where the splendor of nature is kindled
aflame
With every blazing color of a fire in the hearth
Where life’s only demand is to let come what may
And breathe the crispness from the air
And enjoy the bounty of life’s simple pleasures
As you find yourself twirling in circles of laughter
Midst a flurry of autumntime leaves you’ve
thrown fun-lovingly high in the air
For from time to time we should all take the time to do some
living
And let our worries drift away upon the same reckless breeze
The new fallen leaves carelessly tumble upon
So loose yourself to the child inside
as you do a backwards dive into a heaping pile of leaves
whose cradle of softness catches you as you fall
And should you discover as you lay midst the laughter
how much kinder is the world to the fate of the lighthearted
And a flight of fancy was long overdue
Bear in mind in the coming seasons to live life to the fullest
and remember forever the glory of Fall
