The Perfect Life
Debi Fisher
Growing up
Seemed to me
The perfect life
Yet to be
Behind closed doors
Not what you think
But still I turned out
In the pink
Married, moved
Had kids too
And my life was perfect
Yes, it's true
Kids grew up
And moved on their own
Things sure Changed
Time had flown
I was fine
Needed a rest
But somewhere I
Lost some zest
Everyone told me
Empty nest would appear
I said nah
And couldn't hear
But some days are good
And others quite low
I feel empty nest
And move quite slow
I'll adjust
As each day goes by
Empty nest
Is the reason why
Don't rush your kids
Enjoy each day
For soon they'll be gone
And on their way
