A Survivor

A survivor is someone so strong

that sadness comes and goes

but doesn't

stay very long

A survivor is one who knows

when to reach out and touch

a friend is someone near

who need not say so much

A survivor is someone who won't

let Satan win by defeat

someone who has the Lord on their side

and stand strong on both their feet

Whatever your definition

a survivor  looks the same

but inside their will is stronger

and they are never lame

So if you know a survivor

let them know too

 you are a friend

and you will see them through
