We Danced.

It was a special night.
You had returned to me
after many years,
and too many tears.
You took me to a beautiful place
where the band was playing
our song"Daddy's Home".
You took me in your arms,
and we danced.
You proposed to me that night
under the soft dance-floor lights.
You kissed me on the lips
and held me tight.
You said "Will you marry me,
my love", and I said "yes".
Our children will be blessed,
to have you home again,
for they still need a Dad.
You took me by the hand and
glided me onto the floor again,
and we danced.
