The Luminous Glow of Love

The luminous glow of a soft gentle light emerges,
Escaping the darkness from within.
Ascending cautiously the light began to grow,
As the boundries in the darkness lifted.

For a season the light burned lustrous and chaste,
The luminous glow filling each day with love and happiness.
Blissful anticipation of what life could hold.
A yearning for the light to satisfy my hollow existence.

But a dark cloud has drifted in,
Casting a grim shadow into the light.
The darkness calls subduing the light from reaching me.
Bellowing for me to return home.

And as the glow becomes dimmer,
The gentle light of love erodes to despair.
I am at home now.
Back into the darkness where I belong.
