I once was told, a good friend I was.
To this I replied with alike.
Believe did I, sincere it was.
Believe did I, real friends we were.

Not like normal friends, people would say.
We'd talk not mingle, so what I would think.
For you I'd be there, for me you'd be were?, people would say.
So what!!! So what!!! I'd explain.
