Now that you are gone
Now that you are gone
All is desolate
Where there was once beauty,
Now there is dust.
Where there was once love,
Now there is hatred.
The flare in my heart is but a flicker,
Dying out
Ive wept my last tear.
In the nightmare of the dark
I have lived with you so long.
A sea of pity you made of me
And emptied all my pride.
But I have vowed to leave behind
Your promises and lies.
Since you would have none of me
Instead Ive summoned what bravery
I had left,
to bury some of you.
By this, you shall know my pain.
