"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest. You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best. Your voice is strong and loud, but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd. We are your fathers, brothers, and sons, wearing the boots and carrying guns. We are the ones that leave all we own, to make sure your future is carved in stone. We are the ones who fight and die, We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try. We walked the paths to where we are at and we want no choice other than that. so when you rally your group to complain, take a look in the back of your brain. In order for that flag you love to fly wars must be fought and young men must die. We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear. If that's not respected, we would rather stay here. So please stop yelling, put down your signs, and pray for those behind enemy lines. When the conflict is over and all is well, be thankful that we chose to go through hell.

Stand Up for America Rally Speech By:
Beth Chapman
I'm here tonight because
men and women of the United States military
have given their lives for my freedom. I am NOT here tonight because
Sheryl Crowe, Rosie O'Donnell, Martin Sheen, George Clooney, Jane Fonda
or Phil Donahue, sacrificed their lives for me.
If my memory serves me correctly, it
was not movie stars or musicians,
but the United States Military who fought on the shores of Iwo Jima, the
jungles of Vietnam, and the beaches of Normandy. Tonight, I say we
should support the President of the United States and the U.S. Military
and tell the liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippy, tie-dyed
liberals to go make their movies and music and whine somewhere else.
After all, if they lived in Iraq, they wouldn't be allowed the freedom
of speech they're being given here today. Ironically, they would be put
to death at the hands of Sadam Husssein or Osama Bin Laden. I want to
know how the very people who are against war because of the loss of
life, can possibly be the same people who are for abortion?
They are the same people who are for
animal rights but against the
rights of the unborn. The movie stars say they want to go to Iraq and
serve as "human shields" for the Iraqis. I say let them buy a
one-way
ticket and go.
No one likes war. I hate war! But the one thing I hate more is the fact
that this country has been forced into war - - innocent people have lost
their lives - - and there but for the grace of God, it could have been
my brother, my husband, or even worse my own son.
On December 7, 1941, there are no
records of movie stars treading the
blazing waters of Pearl Harbor.
On September 11, 2001; there are no photos of movie stars standing as
"human shields" against the debris and falling bodies descending
from
the World Trade Center. There were only policemen and firemen -
-underpaid civil servants who gave their all with nothing expected in
return.
When the USS Cole was bombed, there
were no movie stars guarding the
ship - - where were the human shields then?
If America's movie stars want to be human shields, let them shield the
gang-ridden streets of Los Angeles, or New York City, let them shield
the lives of the children of North Birmingham whose mothers lay them
down to sleep on the floor each night to shelter them from stray
bullets.
If they want to be human shields, I
say let them shield the men and
women of honesty and integrity that epitomizes courage and embody the
spirit of freedom by wearing the proud uniforms of the United States
Military. Those are the people who have earned and deserve shielding!
Throughout the course of history, this country has remained free, not
because of movie stars and liberal activists, but because of brave men
and women who hated war too. However, they lay down their lives so that
we all may live in freedom. After all - "What greater love hath no
man,
that he lay down his life for his friend," or in this case a country.
We should give our military honor,
and acknowledgement, and not let
their lives be in vain. If you want to see true human shields, walk
through Arlington Cemetery. There lie human shields, heroes, and the
BRAVE Americans who didn't get on television and talk about being a
human shield - they were human shields.
I thank God tonight for freedom - - those who bought and paid for it
with their lives in the past - - those who will protect it in the
present and defend it in the future.
America has remained silent too
long! God-fearing people have remained
silent too long!
We must lift our voices united in a humble prayer to God for guidance
and the strength and courage to sustain us throughout whatever the
future may hold.
After the tragic events of Sept.
11th, my then eleven -year-old son said
terrorism is a war between them and us, and if you're not one of us,
then you're one of them.
So in closing tonight, let us be of one accord, let us stand proud, and
let us be the human shields of prayer, encouragement and support for the
President, our troops and their families and our country.
May God bless America, the land of
the free, the home of the brave and
the greatest country on the face of this earth.
A LESSON TO MY SON
by A PROUD AMERICAN Irma S. Chambers
The other day, my nine year old son wanted to know why we
were at war. My
husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in
the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our
country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good
explanation.
My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our
front living room window. He told him:
"Son, stand there and tell me what you see?"
"I see trees and cars and our neighbors houses." he replied.
"OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United
States of America and you are President Bush."
Our son giggled and said "OK."
"Now son, I want you to look out the window and pretend that every house
and
yard on this block is a different country." my husband said.
"OK Dad, I'm pretending."
"Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and see that man
come
out of his house with his wife and he has her by the hair and is hitting
her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws
her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death. Their children run
out and are afraid to stop him, they are crying, they are watching this but
do nothing because they are kids and afraid of their father. You see all of
this son....what do you do?"
"Dad?"
"What do you don son?!"
"I call the police, Dad."
"OK. Pretend that the police are the United Nations and they take your
call, listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help.
What do you do then son?!"
"Dad, but the police are supposed to help!" My son starts to whine.
"They don't want to son, because they say that it is not their place or
your
place to get involved and that you should stay out of it," my husband says.
But Dad...he killed her!!" my son exclaims.
"I know he did...but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you
to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you're
pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children."
"Daddy...he kills them?"
"Yes son, he does. What do you do?"
"Well, if the police don't want to help, I will go and ask my next door
neighbor to help me stop him." our son says.
"Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get
involved as well. He refuses to open the door and help you stop him," my
husband says.
"But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can't stop him by myself!!"
"WHAT DO YOU DO SON?"
Our son starts to cry.
"OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for
help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and
puffs out his chest. Guess what he does next son?"
"What Daddy?"
"He walks across the street to the old ladies
house and breaks down her door
and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and
then...he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in he window and
laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?!!!"
"Daddy..."
"WHAT DO YOU DO?!!!"
Our son is crying and he looks down and he
whispers, "I close the blinds,
Daddy."
My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him...
"Why?"
"Because Daddy.....the police are supposed to
help...people who needs
it....and they won't help....You always say that neighbors are supposed to
HELP neighbors, but they won't help either...they won't help me stop
him...I'm afraid....I can't do it by myself...Daddy.....I can't look out my
window and just watch him do all these terrible things and...and.....do
nothing...so....I'm just going to close the blinds....so I can't see what
he's doing........and I'm going to pretend that it is not happening."
I start to cry.
My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking
pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husbands questions and he tells
him...."Son"
"Yes, Daddy."
"Open the blinds because that man....he's at your front door..."WHAT
DO YOU
DO?!!!!"
My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in
his eyes. He balls up
this tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, without hesitation
he says: "I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!! I'M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY
SISTER, DAD!!! I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM!!!!!"
I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he grabs my son to his chest
and hugs him tight, and cries..."It's too late to fight him, he's too
strong
and he's already at YOUR front door son.....you should have stopped him
BEFORE he killed his wife. You have to do what's right, even if you have to
do it alone, before......it's too late." my husband whispers.
THAT scenario I just gave you is WHY we are at war
with Iraq. When good men
stand by and let evil happen is the greatest EVIL of all.
Our President is doing what is right. We, as a free nation, must understand
that this war is a war of humanity. WE must remove this evil man from power
so that we can continue to live in a free world where we are not afraid to
look out our window and see crimes on humanity. So that my nine year old son
won't grow up in a world where he feels that if he just "closes" that
blinds
the atrocities in the world won't affect him. Today the second day of "WAR
on IRAQ" I felt compelled to write this and pass it along. Hopefully, you
will understand the lesson my husband tried to teach our son.
"YOU MUST NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT!
EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT
ALONE!" BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! BE PROUD OF OUR PRESIDENT! BE PROUD
OF OUR TROOPS!! SUPPORT THEM!!! SUPPORT AMERICA!! SO THAT IN THE FUTURE
OUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER HAVE TO CLOSE THEIR BLINDS...."
It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to shut up and sit down????

Soldier Poem
I am a small and precious child, my
parent's been sent to fight..
The only place I'll see their face, is in my dreams at night.
They will be gone too many days for my young mind to keep track.
I may be sad, but I am proud. My parent 's got your back..
I am a caring mother. My child has gone to war..
My mind is filled with worries that I have never known before.
Everyday I try to keep my thoughts from turning black.
I may be scared, but I am proud..My child has got your back..
I am a strong and loving spouse , with a mate soon to go.
There are times I'm terrified in a way most never know.
I bite my lip, and force a smile as I watch my partner pack..
My heart may break, but I am proud..My helpmate's got your back..
I am a Guardsmen ..Serving Proudly, standing tall.
I fight for freedom, yours and mine by answering this call.
I do my job while knowing, the thanks it sometimes lacks.
Say a prayer that I'll come home. It's me who's got your back.

Remember those 8,000 children who were evacuated from schools in the shadows of the SEVEN (Yes, 7) buildings of the World Trade Center that came down. Remember too that some of those children went home to be comforted by parents to learn that one or both of them had perished in that attack. There are over 10,000 children in NYC and another 125 in the Pentagon and hijacked flights that lost one or both parents. Our nation was attacked on 11 September 2001 and over 3,000 of our countrymen were killed. A hundred or so from other nations were killed. ~Steve Golding~
Prayer
request
This is a prayer request for a man in urgent need of prayer. I'm asking
you TODAY, please take a moment and pray for this man. He is in a
situation that few people find themselves in. He is criticized by many
people at every turn, and few people have taken the time to thank him for the
things that he has done for them. A lot of people know this man, but few
people know the extent of his situation. We're quick to criticize when
we've never walked in their shoes, and we're slow to pray that God will show
them which way to go. So I'm asking you to stop at some time TODAY, and
pray for this man. He needs our urgent prayers that God can give him the
guidance he needs to get through this situation. This man hasn't asked me
to do this, but I feel led to do so and I'm sure that he appreciates all your
prayers.
I have attached a photo of this man...look at it... some of you may
recognize him... Please pray for him.
Trust me, if you were facing what he is facing,
you'd want people praying for you!
Now
this is one prayer request that really is a great one.. We should pray
each and everyday for this man..He has the weight of a nation on his shoulders.
