Of Death and Dying
Memories of yesterday and dead to the past
Memories of yesterday, fading fast
All that I am and all that I was
Are rolled-up within and only because

There's a moment in time when we all must die
For others to mourn and others to cry
For my Father is dead and my mother has died
And I too have mourned and I too have cried

And I'm left cold and hollow
With nothing to follow
For what's been here before
And I can't find the door

To what once was before
And to God I implore
That He'll help with the pain
For I'll ne'er be the same

For what once was is gone
And to them I belong
And I pine for their love
For a Father called eagle and a Mother called dove.
