Beautiful Shadow
It is unusually warm out tonight
The winds of change gently kiss my face
As I lie under the same sky that blankets you
The hard grass of Winter pinches at my neck
Reminding me that I am real
My eyes behold this waxing moon
Showering that blessed torrent of darkness
With her milky taunts of creation
What rides upon the wind this night?
Unspeakably wrong Unspeakably right
As I slip back to visions of dragons
And castles and pudding and wonder...
Is Jodi Foster really a lesbian?
And I see a shooting star, So I make my wish
Cuz its all about timing, you know
Ironic, indeed
And I close my eyes
And I celebrate the words which are you
My Beautiful Shadow.
