Andy

Quiet, never saying much
What memories do you remember
From our troubled past?

Hard times we had, but
we had each other
How can you understand that
LIfe is hard,
It doesn't come easy?

Did I do right by you,
Or your brother?
How could I have been a better mother?

I hope that the good memories
Cancel out the bad,
For hard times seems to be all we had.

Changes and new places,
Living in another town,
Another state,

Why, do I always start over again?
Did I show you the right way,
Or was I doing the running away?
