I am so sorry to be so late with this.  I ate so much that I slept  most of
the day, and then, of course, had to do all my regular chores, such  as
hiding
Mom's slippers, before I had a chance to tell of the Wedding Reception  and
 Feast.

I rushed right over after the Ceremony to make sure everything was in
order.
Actually it turned out I had plenty of time, as the Main  Participants did
not get there for quite a while.  Probably they were  having photos taken.
Or
 paintings.

As you know, the Feast was to take place atop the Cometstone, and in the
Full Moonlight.  There were huge bowls of all different things to drink,
such as
Nectar, Milk, Whiskey, Mead, and Water with Gardenias floating in  it.  The
Moonlight was very artfully reflected from the shimmering liquids  in the
 bowls.

And then, you know, there was more food than anyone could eat.  Of  course,
there was much Roast Venison.  This is a Deerhound Wedding, after  all.
But
there was also Roast Beef, and Roast Turkey, and a huge enormous  Roast
Salmon.
There was also a large amount of raw meat, for those who  prefer it so.

And then there was the Wedding Cake, MOST artfully decorated, with blue
icing and white lace icing over it.  I myself do not care all that much for
cake,
but we had to have it, as Fairies do love their cake, and of course, we
wanted Fairies, in order to bless the Wedding.  Unfortunately, we do not
expect
that Paris and Abbey will have Progeny, in the Flesh that is, but we do
think
that they will have Spiritual Offspring.  In fact, it is thought in  some
quarters that some of Henna's new babies will be Spiritual Offspring of
this
 Wedding.

There was also several different kinds of bread.  Again, this was  mostly
because the Fairies like bread.  They drank the whiskey and the  mead, too,
and
those who think that Fairies are mostly drinking dew drops are  sadly
mistaken.
In fact, you should see those Fairies pack it away!   And many Fairies
 attended.

The Dogs and the Fairies ate many different kinds of cheeses.  Oh, it  was
 wonderful.

Best Dog, Crispin, brought his friends Beau the Brave and Handsome, and
Charlie IG.  I rather believe they were in charge of cheeses.

We also had Nettles and Mugwort to eat.  I cannot say that I fancied  them
much, but the Fairies insisted they were very health giving.

Mostly, the Faeries who were there were the Highland Fairies, the Daoine
Sidhe (theena shee).  These are not so small as some suppose.  They  are
very
tricksy, and would sometimes sneak up and pinch us, but they mean  nothing
but
fun by it.  There was a Pooka there, who kept trying to lead us  away, but
when
no one would follow, he gave up and ate.  And there were  quite a few
Spriggans.  They mostly hid or stayed invisible, as they are  quite ugly
and did not
 want to offend anybody.

And of course, all was guarded by the very valiant and talented Cu Sidhe,
the Fairy Dogs.  And we shared with them.  I did hear some talk that  the
Cu
Sidhe were thinking of trying to exchange one of their puppies for a
Deerhound
puppy, thereby leaving a Changling Dog in its place.  I do not  know if
this
took place or not, but I could not overhelp hearing it.

All this sharing with Fairies is very good for the Wedding Couple, as it
insures the blessing of the Beloved Trooping Fairies.  They like generous
Dogs,
 and People, too.

Of course, there was much music.  JoJo the Iggy was much in demand for  her
talented singing, and the Fairies danced and fiddled and sang the night
away.

I herd a rumor that our Deer Eclipse drank more mead than was good for him,
and of course he has been ill lately, and then he tried to herd the
Fairies.
I do not know if this is a true rumor or not.  Likewise I  herd that Dammit
Tali got quite rowdy and fell in the bowl with the  Gardenias.  I did not
see
this, though.

Paris and Abbey, the Blessed Couple, were very restrained and dignified, as
 befits their station.

The rest of us ate and ate and ate, and drank, and learned many many many
new dance steps from the Beloved Trooping Fairies.  The Cu Sidhe guarded us
all, and made sure that none of the larger dogs, in a burst of
overexcitement,
did not attempt to eat any of the smaller dogs.  Or Fairies.

All ate all they could until the Moon faded, and we had to go home.   Some
of
us ate enough that we could go home and throw some up for any dogs who  did
not get to go.  And we chewed many bones, and took some home.  For  wedding
 favors.

Please excuse me for those whom I did not mention.  I still feel quite
full,
and my Brain is not all it should be.
