Darkest hour

Metaphysically torn limb from limb
Explains the things I did
I acted weird, I acted strange?
So be it, faced with all I feared
Having lost all I never knew I wanted
A dream not recognized of which now am haunted
So, my pride and dignity went and faltered
When my soul was drawn and quartered
Greater men hath insane over less
Kings with their brains did make a mess
Corporate giants lap water from the street
Priest puts a needle to it,
when knocked off of his feet
Some have been seen shooting from a tower
Oh what men can do in their darkest hour
When all reality has been breached
And the dark pit of despair has been reached
What you did to me
Breached my reality
I acted weird, I acted strange
Not to do as the great
No mess as Kings did make
Needling priests not my bottomless lake
Dignity altered
Stumble and stammer
In the end doesn’t matter
Great pride now taken
In what left me so shaken
Now I understand the weakness of man
Have seen what can push his hand
True strength found in that moment, weakness
Strength that allows me to still love like this
More love for all, everything, even me
Not to mention the Love for thee
