Waiting Out Hate

Hate is an aggressive
  type energy
Love is a passive
  type energy
Hate will
   come looking for you
Love will
  float around just waiting for you
Hate will wait
  for the slightest crack in your heart
  and find a way to seep in
  no matter what you do
Love will wait
for you to hold your heart
open wide as the sky
and still make you draw it into you
Love needs you to want it
before it will come near you
Hate needs nothing from you
Hate makes it easy for you
It's always lurking around you
Just waiting for you
to let it take over you
Love needs to know that you are
ready for it to come over you
That is the spirit of the
thing itself
There is nothing you
can do about it
But,
Be equally ready for both
should either find you.
