Our Share Of Dreams To Bare
Kevin Brian Wright 2001
Kingdoms drift within skies
Of empty grace, their smiles sleep
Upon scarlet pillows,
Rainbows chase dreams about your
Face where as violet eyes rest sound in
Heaven for seeing mornings that rise
Into nations elected from promised
Tomorrows.
As I look by night awake
In her cradle of bedtime stories
Still I sleep in my own bed of
Nervous stars,
To come of dreams I dare to see,
Sweet in her soul, red in its fire,
Rivers run of her blood through
My heart where oceans drown
A little bit deeper in God.
Years have opened thousands,
Swollen moons are closest to
The heavens, cold and lonely
As the darkest cellar, gold
Skeleton keys lay beside brass
Padlocks of passing light,
Opening prisons from cells of
Sleeping riddles where mirrors
Care if they can be seen in there
Own reflection and day would
Give the world to see night
