Daddy's Day
She bounces into the room
Out of the blue

bright eyed
beautiful
tenderly placing her feet
on the tops of his shoes
tucking her tiny fingers
into his waiting cupped hands
and they dance
round and round
to the sweet sound
of her laughter
happily.
she reaches up
to bring his face
near to hers
"Daddy...
I love you"
her pixie voice says.
His heart leaps
and his eyes fill
with joyful tears
knowing
if he had but one wish
it would be
for this magic moment
to never end.
