Fine Line

That fine line
between love and hate
one I wont cross
for it was love
after all
and still is
in the final analysis
albeit a changed
altered love.

But love nonetheless
and those good things
that cried out to us
to open our hearts
remain.

Those same things
that made me love you
could never allow me
to feel anything less

So don't expect cruelty
or animosity returned
That's a place
I cannot go
not with you
I said
I'd follow you
anywhere
but not there.
