Two hearts' lifelong dance
As the music
Two pairs of eyes blink
That perfect fit

began with a waltz
gently shifting
to and fro
he
so very proud
to have captured her attention
if only for the duration
of a single song
she
so demure
coy
knowing from the start
that he was hers for the asking.
of that first song
abruptly ends
hearts pump madly
not from physical exertion
but amazement
at what had magically appeared
before them this night.
an attempt to clear vision
but no
the seeming apparition remained.
was real
true
there to be felt
experienced
relished
now
and forevermore.
