Confusion

I see you lying there just
snoring away.
As I wonder now, was I betrayed?
Did you sleep with her or not,
the night you stayed away?
Said you were drunk, slept in your car.
Well, I have heard that one before!
You take me for a fool,
but say your love is true.
Should I hate you again,
for all the years of past pain,
or still love you again?
Confusion is a deep-seeded evil.
Confusion has me so confused.
You play with my mind and
play with my heart.
Your tongue tells me lies
but yet you stay on.
I don't know what to do,
or where to turn.
I only seek the Truth
about that horrible night
when you left me alone in tears,
and grief was all I had.
Now you're back again
to sleep in my bed.
If only I could just really
get into your head.
I'd know if your love is true.
My sleeping warrior
who says he loves me
over and again
I don't know whether to
throw you out,
or make love to you.
What a dilemma;
I just don't know what to do!
Am I weak or am I strong?
Only time will tell the Truth
and I hope I'll know what to do.
I'm getting old and need a friend
to confide in.
I wish it could be you.
The only time I really
feel your love is when
you're holding me in your arms.
