As I pace along the rugged walk,
The scenery catches my eye.
Withdrawn disire to even talk,
As I glance at the beautiful sky.
There is such a peace, inside my sole,
As I continue on my way.
The hectic life has took it's toll
But this path has helped today.
The only sounds are the birds & trees
As the wind blows light & warm.
The corner of my eye a squirrel that flees,
Through the flowers that start to form.
A house so still across the way,
Wishing that I could own.
To get away from my busy day,
This place would feel like home.
But I have to leave this wonderful place,
And go back to the place called home.
But when things are hectic in the race,
My thoughts can come back and roam.
