In the Pokemon Yellow version, you will be able to recieve Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle along with a very special Pikachu. However, this version does not contain certain Pokemon such as Weedle, Kakuna, Bedrill, Ekans, Arbok, a regular Pikachu, Raichu, Meowth, Persian, Koffing, Weezing, Jynx, Electabuzz and Magmar. In order for you to recieve these Pokemon, you will have to trade with friends who have Red and Blue versions. Bulbasaur can be gotten from a woman in the house left of the Poke Center in Cerulean. Charmander can be gotten from a child who is in the Cerulean fields. Squirtle can be gotten from officer Jenny in Vermilion. There is no current cheat that can be used in the Yellow version at this time. There is no MissingNo. and so there for you will not be able to duplicate items such as master balls and rare candies.
Yellow does have a slight advantage among Red and Blue versions: it has complete color and you will be able to recieve Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. Some pokemon also look improved. (Century Net staff has not yet found out Yellow vesion cheats. Game Shark and Game Genie codes will be acceptable to the Yellow version.
