Family: His mother died when he was young, and his father, Flint, abandoned them, but he returned to allow Brock to fulfill his dream. He has ten younger brothers and sisters.
Relation to Ash: Ash battled him at the Pewter gym and ended up forfeiting, Brock was so proud of Ash, that he gave him the badge anyway, and when Brock's father returned, he asked Ash if he could tag along. Brock is like a big brother figure to Ash and Misty, he seems closer to Ash then his replacement (Tracy).
My thoughts on Brock: Brock is funny! He is always after whatever pretty girl is around (be it officer jenny, nurse joy, or any other girl (except misty) you'll see Brock there) He is usually the one to make peace between Ash and Misty and is a great cook. I missed Brock when he left, but when he returned he seemed a bit more annoying than before. However, there is nobody like Brock, and that's why he is a great character on the show!
