He is always trying to get Jessie, James, Meowth, Cassidy, and Butch to succeed in their plans, but they never do. Cassidy and Butch are on his good side, but sadly, Jessie and James aren't. For some reason, his face is always showered in a shadow, probably so the cops can't catch his identity. It is rumored that Giovanni is Ash's father, but that's just a rumor.
