Inside the Building

You walk down the first corridor you come across, only to find that this "immense structure" is not very large at all! You quickly arrive at a dead end at the far end of the hallway. You decide to get up and go, but you begin to hear the loud cackles and laughs that you heard on your way in. Finally coming to a decision that all of this scaring the living daylights out of you, you start to run down to corridor to the building entrance. Before you can reach the door, the wooden floor gives out from under you.

You hit the floor relatively quickly, as you have not fallen down very far. After a few minutes, you get up and look around. Everything looks dark to you, as you are still in shock from the fall. You decide to close your eyes and rub them to try and regain some mental control. As you get up and look around, you realize that there are a bunch of shadows surrounding you.

Will you battle the Shadows?
Or shall you take your chances and try to escape?

You make your way out of the building, and back toward the main center of the metropolis. You find a smaller building with flashing lights above the entrance. It is entitled,

"BATTLE SIMULATOR."

You enter through the doors and find that there is a virtual training center. You think this is a stupid idea, as it would seem pointless to "cyber" train against Pokémon you can't even catch or gain experience from. You start to walk out, when the owner of the place stops you and explains how everything works. Intrigued at this technology, you enter the Battle Simulator.

After you are done with your Simulated experience, you thank the owner and leave the training center. Once again, your mind goes back to your little encounter with the elegant Wendy, the woman with whom you had done battle, and who claimed to know you were coming. You suddenly become very determined to get to the bottom of all of this, and you feel you will find your answers in the local gym, the Matrix Gym. As soon as you come to this conclusion, you realize one thing and say to yourself aloud,

"Where in the hell am I supposed to find this gym?"

Overhearing your inquiry, a tall man, about 6 foot, 7 inches, walks toward you and proposes something. He says,

"I couldn't help but overhear you were trying to find the gym."

"That's... uh... right," you manage to say. You are still a little surprised at how huge this guy is. "Where can I find it, sir?"

"Hah! No need to call me "sir", kid. M'name's Randall. Some like to call me B3K. Whatever you wanna call me is fine."

A little more comfortable with the way he greeted you and the tone of his voice, you ask again, "Oh, all right. So where can I find the gym?"

"I'd be more than happy to tell ya. But first, I was just thinking of how well you fought against those Ghost Pokemon. Since they're pretty ha--"

Extremely shocked and surprised that anyone else knew about that, you cut him off and ask him, "How did you know about that?"

"Ack!" he yelps out. A little surprised that you may be catching on to what's happening, he quickly says, "Um, I just heard that some kid got into some wild battles in that abandoned building back there. What's wrong? You think I'm following you or something?"

You begin to once again get that uneasy feeling in your mind that someone is out to get you, kind of like the way you felt when you first bumped into Wendy. All you say is "Okay" and let Randall resume speaking.

"Yeah, so I heard how well you battled against those Pokémon, and I thought surely that you could be a match for the Matrix Gym Leader."

"So will you take me there?" you ask.

"Yeah, yeah. I will, but first, I wanna have a battle with you, if you don't mind me asking."
Battle Randall.

Head to the GYM.
