You come an elevator. It appears to lead down. Sure enough, you step inside and push the only button you see. You feel yourself descending, and as the elevator stops, and you step outside, and find that you are in a dimly lit room with six relics before you. You see a Charizard, a Venomoth, a Mr. Mime, a Dodrio, a Dugtrio, and a Magneton. You stare in awe at these life-size statues, as your eyes come to a pedestal that reads,
"THE HARVEY WALL BANGERZ"
A little puzzled at this, you wonder what became of these six Pokémon that were known as the Harvey Wall Bangerz. Suddenly, you hear a familiar voice from behind you, only it sounds a little more uneasy and vengeful. You spin around and you set eyes upon your old acquaintance, Wendy. Next to her is Randall, who is holding some sort of remote control. Wendy begins by saying,
"Well, well, well. If it isn't our old friend. We were pretty sure that you'd make it this far. I see that you're admiring those relics. Yes, those are the Harvey Wall Bangerz. Those were six Pokémon that the Gym Leader here in Matrix City first trained. Those Pokémon represented the first team that the leader used in regional tournaments and such. Though they are deceased now, our Leader still honors their past and keeps their sculptures in this room."
"That's all true," Randall says, "and now, since you made it this far, we'd like to see how you'll fare against these guys."
Battle the Harvey Wall Bangerz.
You see Randall and Wendy pop out of their hiding spot with amazed looks on their faces.
"H-How...?" they say together.
"I'M IMPRESSED," booms an unfamiliar voice.
All three of you turn to see a cloaked figure standing on a catwalk above the relics. He swiftly leaps down from the platform, springing from wall to wall, as if he were a ninja. He finally makes his perfect landing on the ground and then he introduces himself.
"I am Kurt. Kurt Wagner. I am the Gym Leader here in Matrix City. As you can see, I cherish my dear Pokémon. They fought valiantly by my side and we went through a lot together. Enough of the sentimental reminiscing. You are wondering why you've been having the feeling you're being watched, correct?"
After all of the crazy goings-on that just happened, you can barely find it in yourself to say, "...Y-yeah."
"Well, fellow trainer, I've asked my underlings to monitor your activities and watch your training methods in and out of the city. You've made it this far, and now it is time to prove yourself," he says, "but first, if you need anything..." he snaps his fingers and the entire room lights up.
You see at one wall your PokéBox.
At another wall, you see a Shop.
At the third wall, you see the Hall of Fame.
And finally, after you've done all of this, Kurt resumes to say,
"Now, to battle."
