| Finding another tunnel to explore you eagerly step in, not noticing the drop until it's too late. Giving a startled yelp you slip onto your butt and slide down dark and slippery tunnel until hitting the bottom with a sharp jolt. Moaning you rub your head and squint in the sudden light of a ghostly blue fire burning above your head, just suspended there. Despite it's unnatural appearance, you are thankful for the warmth, not realizing how cold you were until now. As your eyes roam around the room, they land on what you had first thought to be a chunk of ice. But chunks of ice don't breath. |

| Upon this rather
interesting discovery, you aren't all that startled when the 'chunk of
ice' uncurls and spreads feathery wings. Cocking it's large blue head,
the creature pads up to you, you can't help but notice it's oddly shaped
hind feet. Growling between the golden ring in it's mouth it nuzzles
against you, than flips its head up, flicking the golden ring out of
it's mouth and above its head. You realize it's a halo.
Resisting the strange urge to coo (^_^) you run your hand along the creature's warm, smoothly muscled neck and back. Whipping it's tail, the creature allows this, but after a while moves away. As it does, you see something tied to it's tail, a tiny piece of old yellow parchment, you catch it as it flies by and take a look. |
