Chapter 1: Eevee Goes Beserk!

The crowd roared as the two legends took their places on the gym floor. Both determined
to win the championship. One never held the title and the other an Indigo Champion for two years now.

Both stared each other with direct eye contact. Their lives and paths had finally lead them here. Rivals since childhood and friends for such a short time. Ash wiped the sweat from his brow. Gary glanced at the score board once more. Both trainers down to a single Pokemon each.

Gary was worried he only had the pokemon his grandfather gave him. His Eevee held in the pokeball rested in his palm.

He bounced the pokeball gently in his hand. He was worried that Ash would surprise him with a pokemon he didn't have the last time they met. Gary knew Ash should only be down to his Pikachu which stood on the sidelines at the moment waving a flag with "Ash" written on it.

"Piiiika chu! Pika! Pika! Chuuuu!" Pikachu waved the flag in one hand and pumped his little fist in the air.

Prof. Oak gave the Pikachu to Ash so Gary knew it was not just any common Pikachu just like Eevee wasn't just any common pokemon. He sighed and shouted.

"I choose Eevee!" Gary released the pokeball.

Ash smiled and shouted as well.

"I choose Pikachu!" Pikachu handed the flag to Togepi who waved it excitedly.

Pikachu was at Ash's side in a flash. Ash looked into his fan section. Tracey cheered him on, Brock raised a banner wildly over his head reminding Ash of Togepi. His Mom shouted the loudest. Ash waved to them all. He saw A.J. and Sandshrew give him thumbs up. Samuria and his Metapod waved with those big foam hands. Metapod wore his foam finger on his nose.

"Come on Ash!" Richie shouted. Sparky hopped up and down in a Pikachu cheer.

And in the Coach box stood Misty. Togepi giggled in delight as it ran back and forth playing. Ash wondered for a second what the look on Misty's face meant. She had been with him since three long years ago his journey began. He cared for her deeply and knew she cared for him. He just wondered if her look was the one of a friend or of someone who wanted more than friendship.

"I know you can beat him Ash!" She shouted.

Ash focused his mind. He was not going to win this if he kept listening to wandering thoughts.

"Don't let him get to you no matter what he tells you!" Ash heard Brock yell.

"I see you still hang out with the same group of losers! Ha! Of course losers are attracted to other losers Ash!" Gary snapped his fingers and Eevee stood in a battle pose.

" Trainers order your Pokemon to the center of the field." The ref shouted.

"I'll show you Gary!" Ash patted the dust from his jacket and straightened out his collar. Pikachu dusted his shoulders and ran to to meet Eevee face to face.

Eevee growled as Pikachu ran closer, closer, closer, then it howled. Eevee suddenly kicked sand into Pikachu's eyes. She then leapt at him. The ref blew his whistle and shouting. He was so angry he threw his flags to the floor.

"Gary you cheater!" Misty shouted.

"Stop Eevee!" Gary tried to grab Eevee but, she used her tail to slap away Gary's hands.

Eevee began to bite and scratch Pikachu. It headbutted Pikachu, then kicked, bit, and slapped Pikachu with her tail.

"Chaaaaa! Choooo!" Tears formed in his eyes.

Ash ran to his friend. Eevee saw him coming, rearing on her hind legs she launched at Ash skull bashing him to the floor. Holding his chest he saw Eevee charging again. Gary stepped in the way and took the slam attack.

Ash sat next to Gary, he looked at his rival. Prof. Oak was running toward them. He was shouting.

"How much time have you spent training Eevee?" Ash asked.

"Apparently not long enough!" Gary winced as he saw Eevee snorting and stamping her rear foot in the dirt. "What's wrong with you Eevee!"
