Agent Thompson flew concussion bombs into the enemy masses. As he tossed another a bullet ate into his shoulder. He rolled onto the street. Rizzo leapt over the remains of the wrought iron fence. Ace fired off another round before the rifle was spent, tossing it aside he took up the automatic.
The Queen rushed to trough the chambers, she had to get to the castle bowels. The lab below held the creature developing silently in it's protective egg. The girl struggled with her. The Queen slapped her and tossed Angel away. She had to move fast to save the creature.
"You're late! The war in Emerald started." Gary stood waiting as Misty and Brock came to him. "Ash told me this guy Ace is tearing Team Rocket apart."
"We must help him then! Quickly children gather around!" Mewtwo held the Rods preparing to send them into Emerald's future.
"Wait! Can't we just change the past? You know save Koga." Gary tried to see under the hood.
"No! This is not our world! We have no right to change anything except help this Ace defeat Team Rocket." Mewtwo touched the crystals.
Gary brought his raiders as promised. The Rocket's thrown off by Ace's short lived skirmish now faced to walls of offense. Gary ran to greet Ace.
In the safety of the castle entrance Gary offered his help. Ace agreed. Misphisto hyperbeamed the castle door into splinters. Fixing the collar on his cloak and dusting a few bits of debris from his shoulder Misphisto entered the castle. Ace laughed as he saluted Gary before catching up with the pokémon.
Guns still barked but within the castle. Ash lead his team onward. Meowth came sprinting to them.
"Hey! Meowth get's your pokémon back and no one thanks me?" He tossed the balls into their hands.
"Alright Meowth!" Ash cheered him as he released Pikachu.
"Time to fight!" Nero released Smeargle.
"For the liberty of Emerald!" James chose Vistreebel and Wobbuffet.
"Not so fast Ketchum!"
They all turned.
"You're going no where without me!" Gary held out his hand, Ash shook it.
"Ash Ketchum!" Nero croaked as he stared. "How! You're dead!"
"Not quite dead and we have a battle to win." Mewtwo came bringing Brock And Misty after him. "There is some kind of creature they are culturing in there. Like I was cultured in one of Giovanni's labs. This is the thing that truly pulls the strings behind the Rockets. Even unborn it puppeteers the Queen."
"Then we will destroy it." Ash lead them filling in on their journey in the short cut version.
Ultra couldn't believe this! Two Mewtwo's in this world! Which one had killed the mother then? It unsheathed it's talons.
Misphisto ran searching rooms hoping to find the Queen. She would die at his hands. Ace kicked in doors with the shotgun held before him. He surprised a few Rockets who quickly threw their hands up in surrender. No Queen! He wanted her to meet the buckshot.
Gary fell, a seeping wound in his shoulder. Ace hauled him into a side room where he hoped the weathered warrior would be safe. He ordered Rizzo to tend to the shoulder and guard Gary. He fired off several warning shots before entering the hall. A Rocket lay dead.
Slinging the rifle he took his twin guns out. Cocking both he held them in front of him. He crept silently, he saw the "dead" Rockets arm twitch Ace sent four slugs into him. His hand flopped with his gun still cradled in it.
The Raiders fighting with melee weapons and crossbows or string bows were taking heavy casualties. The Amber men lost few but, things were about to change as Ultra began to rip them open.
"Sir! Agent Ace! Sir!" Ace picked up the walkie.
"Yes."
"There's some kind of pokémon out here sir! It's chewing up our men!"
"Ultra!" Misphisto could smell him. "I'm the only one who can take care of him!"
"Alright big guy." Ace signaled his men to follow him further in.
Mewtwo saw his counterpart pass him. He turned to look at him. The Emerald Mewtwo faced him. The two nodded to each other. Wordless communication. They parted with smiles.
Outside Misphisto saw UltraMew standing awaiting his arrival.
"Waited just for you!" It laughed.
"This was a fight created by prophecy." Misphisto flowed into his stance, psychic power surrounding him.
"Then let us not disappoint prophets." Ultra flowed into a stance, it's physical powers rippling in it's muscles.
"You might disappoint me." Misphisto threw a psywave.
Misphisto prepares to use psychic attacks.
Ultra flipped over it, landing and sending a hyperbeam. Misphisto sent his own beam which dispeled Ultra attack. Ultra flew as the beam caught him in the chest.
"I fight for Cassandra's love! That makes me stronger!"
"No! That makes you a fool!" Ultra rasped as it regained it's feet.
Swinging his arms outward then crashing them inward he sent a purple orb jetting at his rival. His rage outlined in the glow of the attack, his eyes locked in furrows, his fangs jutting over his lower teeth, lips thrown back exposing his gums.
Back flipping Ultra kept a step ahead of the energy flying at it. It tossed itself to the left. Behind the orb smashed into the castle. Dust spumed littering the yard. Ultra watched the aftermath of the attack. Turning it had a new respect for Mewtwo. Ultra flew in an unreal jump.
Misphisto fell victim to Ultra's speeding fists. His phsyical strength his weakness Misphisto screamed as every fist made contact. Blood ran in a stream from his mouth, mustering his power he sent another psybeam directly into Ultra's chest.
It was tossed ten yards away. Laying still Ultra had steam wafting from it's body armor, Misphisto prayed he killed him. He wiped the blood from his chin, his right eye was throbbing it would swell soon.
UltraMew flipped itself up billowing smoke from it's mask. It roared. Misphisto swore, he armed up another psybeam. Ultra was too quick, it ran closing the gap in a flash. It threw it's body into a jump kick.
Misphisto rolled in the air, his mind blacking out as felt his head explode in pain. Tears welling in his eyes he crashed back to earth. Ultra was there kicking him while he was down.
"Misphisto is in trouble!" Mewtwo began to leave.
"No! Mewtwo you have to find the egg!" Ash blocked him. "I'll help him some how."
"A brave soul!" Mewtwo watched him run away.
"Something to remind everyone who killed the great Mewtwo!" Ultra slashed Misphisto across his right eye. "Damn! I want to cut your eye out! I guess I'll have to try again!"
Misphisto wouldn't give him the satisfaction he swallowed his scream. Ultra raised it's arm to deliver the death blow. It shrieked as it grabbed at it's back. Misphisto opened his good eye to see what happened. Red blurred his sight but, he saw a Tork squirting acid attacks.
"Your pet will die human!" Ultra slashed at it but, Tork leapt away spitting more acid.
Misphisto was weak but, he had some power left in him. He tried to build another psychic attack though he felt his mind threaten to black out. He felt useless lying there.
"Tork! Tail slap!" Ash tossed Pikachu who rained bolts at Ultra.
As Ultra rocked from the electricity Tork hopped up then he spun sending his fat tail smacking Ultra to the ground. Landing Tork vomitted more acid.
A fist sent Tork cartwheeling, Ultra grasped Pikachu hurling him away. Ultra stood looming over Ash. The seven foot beast unsheathing it's massive claws. Tork roared!
Misphisto was rocked with an idea! Tork had one more evolution to play out. He sent his power channeling through Tork. He passed out hoping Tork would finish the job.
Roaring Tork began to glow, Ash knew the glow. Tork was evolving. UltraMew's attention caught by the salamander's shining form. The trumpet from Tork grew in volume as his jaws enlarged.
Ultra began to create a psywave. Tork completed his evolution. Standing ten feet tall upon triple jointed legs, Tork ended his cry. His arms were longer and muscled. Ash stared at the dinosaur open it's slitted eyes. Four horns sprouted from it's skull, four fangs hung from each side of it's mouth. Saliva secreted from his lower jaw. Ultra backed away.
The massive blue eye locked onto Ultra. Tork's eyes glowed red, it bellowed. Striking at the Mew clone with massive jaws Tork sprayed Ash with spit.
"Gross!" Ash wiped it from his face.
"Tooooooork! Aaaaasuar!" Tork leapt trying to flatten his prey.
"Hyper beam him!" Nero came running to Ash.
"Tork! Hyper beam!"
Throwing back his head Tork focused his powers into his maw. Rays of light pouring from his jaws. His eyes shot open as it rolled it's head downward. To Ash it happened in slow motion as Tork aimed at UltraMew. He saw Tork's brown face become white in the wake of the beam's glow. He saw Tork's pupil constrict from the light rushing from him.
Tork's head trembled as the attack left it, the flap of flesh at the corner of his mouth trembled. His roar was deafening. Ultra tried to leap over it but, the beam carried him away. In the palace pond steam rose from the crumbling armor as Ultra shakedly stood.
The mask began to crack and split, Ultra grasped it tossing the useless thing away. Ultra was done. It teleported into the castle bowels, the eggs had to survive especially the Krell egg.
