I don't know where the writers of this song were going with it but jeez, it sounds kinky!! Maybe it's because the girl singing it sounds like a whore or maybe it's because I have a dirty mind but over all this song is pure kink . I suppose it could be between Ash and a pokemon of his or some one may even tell me Misty but no, it is not. #1 reason, one of the lines is "This is my show...." um, now who is the main human character? Ash. Oh yes, and the singer is singing to a boy. The show is not Misty's, it is Ash's so ha! It also says earlier in the song Something about backing down from a fight/challange. Weren't Ash and Gary supposed to have a match earlier in the series than Rival Revival? I think so...In Poke-Corral over whatever. N E wayz, that's another little point. You know, I really tried to listen to this song without thinking of Palletshipping but I couldn't. It's is permanently etched into my mind as ShiShi.

Erm, that was shorter than I realized, but the other song she suggested has a more detailed explination. I actually just got this song tody (finally!! >.<) and I love it. Besides being very Shishi, its a really cute song. From one of the Japanese soundtracks, its about kids playing hide and seek, with one child hiding their feelings from the other. Ya, and how many pairs of Pokemon characters grew up together? That's right. Just Gary and Ash!! From the lyrics though, its pretty obvious that the child in love is really embarrased by it. Well, if you were a little boy and were always being told that you'd grow up to marry a nice girl, wouldn't you think yourself a bit weird for loving another boy. *giggles and goes off to the next addition*

This almost could be between Ash and all those pokemon he's set free (I swear, I will kill the kid if he gets rid of Bulbasaur...) but it's not! It's a song about growing up I suppose and that can be related back to when the boys were younger, still best friends and just about to set off on their own pokemon journeys. Some how they decided to be rivals although they likly didn't want to be. "I'll be standing at the edge of the earth hoping that some day you'll come back to me" doesn't that sound like something Ash would say after Gary has teased the hell out of him? You know he gets more upset than angry after the teasing, you can't deny it!! Yea, so I see this song as one between the boys after they became rivals but before they become lovers...Did that make sense? I didn't think so either....

This is one of those songs that are in my head as ShiShi because of a fanfiction. Trust me, there are a lot of these. This specific fanfic was written by the master of Palletshiping fics, Dana-chan and can found at own site End Of Summer. The first thing I thought the first time I heard this song I screamed ShiShi. My younger brother was not pleased considering he was right beside me. I mean the first couple lines are: "Desperate for changing, starving for truth, I'm closer to where I started in chasing after you." Does that not sound like what Ash is doing? Especially in the comic by Toshihiro Ono. Ash chases after Gary in an attempt to beat him. He wants a change in his relationship with Gary, he wants to know the truth behind why Gary is so cruel to him and the 'chase' is closing in. "I'm standing here until you make me move, I'm hanging by a moment here with you." I swear, when Ash finally gets a chance to get the truth out of Gary, those will be his words!

I was surfing the 'net one day when I heard this song on tv upstairs and recalled how much I adore it. So I downloaded it and was listening to it over and over and I don't know how but my over active imagination took off with the lyrics. This song needs to have a lemon written on it. This is another fanfic song, which I proudly host might I add. :) "Let them say it's wrong for me to love you" Okay, that is the opening line to the song and a basis for the whole thing. People judging what is different. Unfortunatly in this world, homosexual relationships are still looked down on by most of the population, so this song relates well to the position that I believe (have forced :P) Ash and Gary into. I think they'd have the same thing to say as the lyrics to this song do. "It doesn't matter what they think or what they say, I'm loving you anyway." Ahh, isn't that sweet? I think so, but anyway. The song is saying that the person doesn't care what anyone thinks, only what 'their heart says'.

Umm, I tend to really like fanfics where Gary is all angsty and depressed. And this is one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard (which doesn't stop it from being one of my faves...) I can't stand it when Gary is all genki and perky, it reminds me too much of Richie. Besides, Ash is always trying to cheer people up and he usually does a brillant job of doing it in the fanfiction. One line of the song is; "Can you help me remeber how to smile?" I can see wonderful angsty Gary asking Ash this...Okay, I'm rambling and I know it so this ends my look into this song. Okay, in all honesty the fist time I heard this song I thought the lyric was 'And I know that you are my rival' instead of "And I know that you are my bible". Yea, I'm dumb but even though it is infact 'bible' the song still relates (just not as well as I thought it did.) "I'm scaed for the moment, but I know you'll be there." Okay, this is a song that could relate to the whole Shi3 thing. "As sharing this relationship gets older", It's as if one of the boys (Those boys being Ash, Gary, and Richie or anyone else you want to throw in there...) being hurt by another from the three-some you do choose. One boy is sick of sharing their love with the past and the other boy is still hurting form what has been done to them. You know, maybe a fanfic would explain this one better. Just a song I was listening to with my best friend. When I sighed at the sweet lyrics the first thing she said was: "Lemme guess, it's a ShiShi song right?" I actually wasn't thinking that then but you know, it really is. It's one of those songs you can picture one of the boys (most likely Gary in my view of the relationship...) thinking the lyrics on some dark night with his love in his arms. This sounds like a song of a person who is obsessly in love with their partner and it's really depressing as I listen to it over and over. *grabs tissue*, but I really like it! The singer would do anything for their love, anything. Lyric example? "Yeh you say you'd do anything to keep your feet off the ground and help you on your way you're all I need." Umm, maybe that doesn't quite explain it the way I thought it would but...go down load the song yourself and see! It's great! Okay a point that actually works out? "I'm so in love with you, whether it's right or it's wrong, I'm too weak to be strong." this example is like the song by Monica. They don't care what another person thinks of their love. They are too in love to care. Okay, this explination sucked...I'll do better on the next one.
Rainy: Oh, this is such a cute song! It's one of my faves on the greatest hits album, and another one I just automatically thought 'definitely shounen ai'. Eventually it warped into 'definitely Shishi' but I think I was on a total Shishi high. Which isn't a bad thing...okay that had practically nothing to do with how the song is Shishi, but I can't think of anything better

This song is so sad and melincolly but ever relationship needs it's downs and ups. It's one of those songs that work best before they would get together. One of the first lines in this song goes "I'm not like all the other boys" and I guess that's how Ash and Gary would feel while struggling with feelings that most other people don't have. Another line goes; "It's not much fun to be lead on as one as you are." I guess this could be Ash thinking about all the times Gary teases him and 'leads him on' and it breaks his heart. Poor, poor boys. They should just hurry up and get together.
Rainy: Oh, what a brilliant song! As Butterfly said, it's the line 'I'm not like all the other boys' that made it so...Shishi-ish for me. I can imagine Ash singing this late one night by a lake or something. I am quite weird.
I just heard this song for the first time the other day when I saw driving home from University with my dad. THe first thing I said when I heard the lyrics was: "Awwww!" and I started thinking about which of my fave couples this song would suit best. (I do this often, all the mushy/romantic songs I hear I match them with my fave slash couples...like Drowning by BSB for Tas/Chiri and Thankyou For Loving Me by Bon Jovi for 3x4 and....oops, I'm getting off topic.) ANYWAY! I decided that this song was great for ShiShi...probably 'cuz I haven't heard a Shishi-ish song in a while. I might have a better reason though, let me hear the song again...*starts up MP3*.... Hmm, it says "You've knocked on the door 100 times before when I suddenly let you in" just like how one day the boys will just realize that they are perfect for one another. Another lyric example, "And how do you explain the way my world has changed right before my eyes?" the world will change for the boys when they do realize their true feelings. Listen to me going on about when and how as if they will really get together. Wishful thinking I guess...

Ya, that totally somes it up. I'd never really considered this song in a ShiShi contexted because I'd put it to another couple, but it really does suit it. I think Kally said it best though, so I'm not going to elaborate.
