New Love for Performers Kravitz and Kroeger
Kravitz and Kroeger embrace during their "coming out" press conference yesterday
San Francisco, California - Rock artists Lenny Kravitz and Chad Kroeger held a press conference to announce their blessed union and plans to raise a child.
Rock veteran Kravitz seems to have found a peaceful state in his career and now his often turbulent love life. His album "5", and his greatest hits collection have both sold into the millions, and his current album "Lenny" is out in stores. Kravitz has also revitalized his libido with his blossoming relationship with Chad Kroeger, lead singer of the country band Nickelback.
"Everything seems to be falling into place for me these days," commented a jubilant Kravitz, "I'm touring, recording, and having tons of fun doing it. And having Chad in my life now just completes things in a way I never thought possible."
It seems that the couple have been together for some time now, but have just recently decided to bring their relationship into the public eye.
"Me and Lenny have been on and off now for a few years," Kroeger revealed, "But now that Nickelback is enjoying success we can afford to take our relationship seriously. Not many people know this, but I actually wrote "Never Again" [Off Nickelback's recent release, Silver Side Up] about a disagreement Lenny and me had a while back."
The couple also announced plans to have a child. They plan to adopt a little Canadian boy from the Infants 'R' Us agency of Toronto.
"I think that this is the ultimate step to take in our relationship," confessed Kravitz. "It will bring us together, uh, that is, we'll be more intimate, in ways previously unknown to either of us."
Kroeger agreed. "I love Lenny so much right now, but the baby will bring us closer than we could ever imagine. But I do worry that Lenny and I will have to sacrifice our backbreaking sex all-nighters."
When asked if the baby will complicate their careers, the duo posed a simple solution.
"I'll be handling the girth of the responsibilities," Kravitz professed. "Right now Chad has the hot hand, with his Nickelback album and "Hero" song lambasting radio. So that means that I'll take care of the child while Chad's away on tour..."
"...And I'll take it when Lenny has business to take care of," interrupted Kroeger. "We'll obviously plan some time when both of us can spend time together, real family time, you know?"
When asked about a possible musical collaboration between the two, the couple let the proverbial dog off the porch.
"Well," started Kroeger, "Lenny and I were tossing a few ideas around, although we don't have anything written yet."
"Yeah," added Kravitz, "Chad is very busy right now, so we'll probably hold off on things for now. But we were thinking of starting a new group, called the Kravitz and Kroeger Konnection, or something like that. If we do, it probably won't get off the ground for a while, so just hold tight."
"Oh, I will," quipped Kroeger, as they both giggled profusely. "And I won't stop until you get enough."
