Here's a convo of AJ's surprise phone call to LA radio station KIIS fm-June 5th
Teen Pop Idols, the Backstreet Boys are getting into the film business.
Brian Littrell has co-produced the movie Olive Juicestarring his fiancee,Leighanne Wallace. It is an independent movie directed and produced by Nick Karvounis and his brother, and has just finished post-production.
The big news is that AJ Mclean has joined Brian in a slightly smaller role in the film. Both Boys have lines - they are not just walk-ons!! The parts constitute their major acting debuts. (Remember that AJ's acting career was made famous on Hi Honey,I'm Home! a 1992 Nickelodeon program.)
Adding to his roles on the film, Brian is also co-producing the soundtrack of the movie with Wallace, according to Karvounis. Songs on the soundtrack include BSB's "Perfect Fan," from Millenium, as well as songs by unknown artists whom Brian and Leighanne assembled.

This is not confirmed. AJ and Howie D were visiting a local radio station in Cologne,Germany on Friday. Afterwards, they were interviewed on a tv show that is broadcasted from 3-5pm in Germany, but they ended up showing up to the interview at 4:20pm. They talked about their work on the new album and answered some fans' questions. Finally, after the show was over, they came outside to meet the fans. Everything was fine;they signed autographs and let people take photos. However, a girl fan was able to get over the barriers and throw herself at AJ. The security guards took her away, but she got loose again and ran towards AJ. The security guards had a hard time controlling her. Some witnesses claim that she knocked AJ to the floor and that later she fainted. AJ was scratched and was quite surprised that this happened.
On May 15th Howie D will make his debut as an alien on the season finale of Roswell,a WB program that airs at 9pm.

The Backstreet Boys will retreat to a tropical island to begin on their next album, the follow-up to 1999's Millenium. The boys are under pressure reclaiming their spot after *N SYNC snatched it away with the recent release of No Strings Attached. BSB will know the meaning of being lonely when they leave the distractions of the big city to write material on the island.
BSB Howie Dorough explains the unusal location, remaining realistic about the attempt."I can't give the name of the island yet, but we're going to go to an island and we're going to record-the five of us-some new songs, hopefully for the next album," he said. "We're either going to have a good time and write great songs, or we're going to kill each other. Hopefully the first"
The follow-up tho the multi-platinum Millenium marks the Backstreet Boys' first attempt at writing material as a fivesome."We are going to get together just to see what we come up with," Howie explains."We hope at least to write and record at least at the end of the day."
Although each of the Boys have written songs on their own, only Brian and Kevin have songwriting credits on their current album. They plan to complete the album by September for release by the end of the year.

The Backstreet Boys have held the records of selling the most on the first day, which is 500,000 and week, which is 1.1 million...Until *N Sync's new cd "No Strings Attached" came out on March 21st. *N Sync sold nearly as much as 1.1 million on the first day!!! By the end of the week, they sold 2.4 million-that's more than double of what the Backstreet Boys made!!! At least they haven't beat the Backstreet Boy's record of 30 million world wide!!
We Backstreet Boys fans will make sure that the Backstreet Boys will regain their record. The new cd is possible to come out on October 17,2000. Instead of getting just 1 cd, make sure you get 2 or 3 just to make sure.

This whole week the fans held the ultimate power of actually picking the Backstreet Boys' new single...We personally wanted "Don't Want You Back" to win(for obvious reasons)but "The One" won...Which is also fine with us...At first "Don't Want You Back" wuz in the lead until Nick called in and told everyone dat he liked "The One" the best...Then all of a sudden people were voting for that song...It was a tight race:
"The One" - 37%
"Don't Want You Back" - 36%
"It's Gotta be you" - 27%
Now all we gotta do is just wait for that new video to come out!!!
