When Lauren woke up, she took a quick shower and got dressed and ready for the day. When she stopped to listen to the boys voices, she heard nothing. She tip toed into the living room where Nick had slept the night before. He wasn't there! She then tip toed to the room where AJ and Howie had slept, there was no one there! Then checking the room where Kevin and Brian had been, once again, there was no one there.
She sighed and went into her room. There was a hot pink bikini on her bed, with a note next to it.
Babe,
You were in the shower when we came to wake you up. We decided to go to the pool downstairs. COME DOWN AND SWIM WITH US NOW! You can get ready all over again when we get back. See you soon!
Lauren giggled to herself and decided she go down. She put the bikini on, and grabbed a towel. When she got to the pool, she saw Nick and Kevin trying to drown eachother, and Brian and AJ and Howie splashing eachother. She stood back and watched them all for a while, until Brian noticed her.
"Well check her out in her little bikini." he said smiling.
Lauren dropped her towel and jumped in right on Brian and started to splash him. When they were both soaked, they seperated.
"Looks like someone forgot to take her mascara off." Brian said laughing.
"Oh gosh!" She said, turning away from everyone. Nick swam and got right in her face. "You look beautiful." He took his wet hand and wiped away all the mascara that was on her face. She smiled and kissed him hello.
He picked her up and threw her to Kevin, who caught her and threw her to Brian, who caught her, and threw her to Howie, catching her, she said "This is SO much fun!" And Howie threw her to AJ, who purposley didn't catch her. When she got up from the bottom of the pool, she giggled and tackeled AJ.
They spent the whole day goofing off in the pool. At around 3:00 they got out.
"I need to get ready. We've gotta go visit Veronica." Lauren said, jumping out of the pool. "Besides I feel like a prune." She said laughing. "I'll join you." Nick said, getting out of the pool, grabbing his towel and heading up to the room with her.
"Did you have fun today baby?" He asked.
"Yeah, I did." She said smiling at him.
"Good, I'm glad." He said kissing her on the cheek.
When they got inside, they quickly got ready, and when they were done, the guys were STILL not back from the pool yet. They decided to stop by the pool before they went to see Veronica.
There were at least 25 girls there all talking to the guys. "Lauren, go in there and pretend you are their girlfriend or something." Nick said. "K, I'll be right back." She said. She strutted her stuff in there and said "Brian baby, come on. AJ, Howie, Kevin come on. I need you guys upstairs." She said. All the girls gave her a cruel look. Lauren looked right back and said "Excuse me. They are mine. Stop looking at me like that." She said. One girl noticed Nick. "IT'S NICK CARTER!" She yelled.
Nick started walking over to Lauren, and put his arms around her. "Hey guys." Nick said to the girls. A few of them started crying. "We actually have some stuff to do today, but we'll catch up later. Bye." Nick said, turning around, and with the four others following them.
"Guys, go upstairs and be careful. These girls look pretty vicious." Nick said laughing. "We'll be back later."
Lauren, Lauren, Lauren... Brian was thinking of Lauren. But why? She was his best friend's girlfriend. He didn't like her as a girlfriend or anything. She was also one of his best friends. Or did he have other feelings for her? He didn't know, and didn't want to know. He was going to try to avoid her the rest of the time she was here with them.
"God, I hope she's OK." Lauren said, as they were approaching Veronica's room. When they reached it, the bed was made, and all of Veronica's things were gone.
"I guess they moved her." Lauren said, leaving the room and looking for the nurse that was always with Veronica. When they found her, Lauren went up to her.
"Hi, I was wondering where you moved Veronica to?" Lauren asked.
"Where we moved her to?" The lady repeated.
"Yeah, she's not in her room." Lauren told her.
"No one told you?" The nurse asked.
"Told me what?!" Lauren said.
"Veroncia passed away early this morning." The nurse told her.
"NO!" Lauren screamed. She fell to the floor and started sobbing. Nick picked her up, and carried her over to some chairs, where she sat next to him and put her head on his shoulder and cried. The nurse stayed with them.
"Why didn't anyone tell me?!" Lauren asked.
