Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean is bringing back his alter ego, Johnny No Name, to help raise money for music education and diabetes research.

With $1 million out of his own pocket, McLean has started the JNN Foundation, named after the character he created for a solo tour last year, according to the Associated Press. As Johnny No Name, McLean donned a white suit and covered tunes by Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots and others.

The JNN Foundation will raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, which helps bolster music education in public schools.

To help in his fundraising efforts, McLean has placed Johnny No Name memorabilia, including an autographed hat, up for auction on eBay.
