Just how long does a group have to be around to release a greatest hits album?

Apparently the Backstreet Boys (news - web sites)' career is lengthy enough to warrant a compilation of their most popular work.

They will become the first boy band to release a greatest hits album when the yet-to-be-titled compilation is released on Oct. 23. The album will include the new single "Drowning."

The Backstreet Boys have released four albums so far, including their current release Black & Blue.
