Backstreet Boy rebel AJ McLean woke up in a hotel in Phoenix, Arizona, Saturday morning after the group's concert at the city's Cricket Pavilion last night - and was pleased to be able to remember it all.

Last night the Backstreet Boy celebrated 100 days sober with a bottle of mineral water with his bandmates whom he praised for their support in helping him through his ordeal. 'I am sober, but I'm still a little crazy, don't worry,' said AJ who at the beginning of July during the group's three day Black and Blue tour stopover in Boston admitted he had a  problem with alcohol addiction and depression and entered a rehab clinic.

The rest of the Backstreet Boys agreed to postpone their Black and Blue tour until AJ was well enough to resume. Since the tour kicked off again on 24 August in Milwaukee, AJ has taken to the front of the stage each night and thanked fans for their support during his rehabiliation telling them, 'I couldn't have done it without your support.'

Despite the release of a Greatest Hits later this month and fewer fans coming to see the group on their current tour the Backstreet Boys deny they are ready to split up.

The band cancelled the final concert of their Black and Blue tour in San Diego on 20 October so they could appear at the United We Stand benefit concert the next day in Washington DC with 'N Sync, Michael Jackson and others in aid of the families of firefighters and police officers injured or killed in the 11 September terrorist attack.
