Sibling rivalry is bad enough when all your older sister or brother has done is make the basketball team or get straight As on a report card.

Imagine what it must be like to have an older sister or brother who's one of the most famous pop stars in the world. But there are a handful of famous siblings who are not only coping well with having famous family members, they're enlisting their help.

"Oh never," budding pop star Aaron Carter told AllPop when asked if he's ever jealous of his famous Backstreet Boy brother Nick. "I wouldn't be able to do it without my brother. He's always been there for me. He's helped me get to my actual position."

In addition to giving Aaron advice ("Watch out for a lot of the bad business people and for people who aren't really your friends"), Nick's helped Aaron attract attention to his music by appearing on several songs on Aaron's latest CD, "Oh Aaron".

Solange Knowles, the 15-year-old sister of Beyonce (from Destiny's Child of course), is taking Aaron's lead and learning from her famous sibling, too.

During a press conference after the Fannie Awards in Toronto this month, Solange said she considers each of the Destiny's girls her "sisters".

Solange's learned about the music biz from her talented sibling(s) and is releasing her own album, "Solo Star" in January. Like Beyonce, who had a creative hand in the success of Destiny's hit album "Survivor", Solange is writing much of her debut album herself.

Solange's "sister" Kelly Rowland, one of the Destiny's Child stars, says one thing the young singer won't be learning from her big sister is how to wear the revealing clothes that the trio is famous for.

"She's not wearing what we're wearing," Kelly said during the press conference.

Nick Carter and Beyonce Knowles may be major celebrities, but Britney Spears is truly famous.

Britney has made the cover of every major fashion and entertainment magazine, dates a major heartthrob (Justin Timberlake), is considered to be very attractive by most of the general population, and has sold millions of albums.

It sounds like Britney's little sister, Jamie Lynn (born in 1990), isn't too worried about her sister's celebrity status. She's probably having a great time tagging along on Britney's current tour.

"She's really involved in dancing right now," Britney said during a press conference in Toronto this month. "She's really loving what she's doing, so she wants to get some of my dancers to help her with her dance moves while she's on tour with me."

Someday, when Britney's ready to retire, she may even be willing to hand over the pop queen crown to Jamie.

"She's actually a lot better singer than me," Britney said. "She's an amazing singer, she's an amazing dancer."

So, next time you're feeling particularly jealous of your sister or brother, remember that it could be worse -- they could be millionaire popstars.

Also remember that if Solange, Aaron, and Jamie Lynn can benefit from their siblings' fame, you too can probably learn something from your older siblings (even if you can't stand to admit it yet).
